CHALLENGE:
To create a new form educational experience that helped The Royal Botanic Gardens communicate key conservation and preservation messages around Australian Flora & Fauna in a fun and informative manner.

SOLUTION:
The Creative Shop designed and developed The Disney Fairies Trail mobile application, aimed at delivering large amounts of traditional information pertaining to specific plants and habitats, in a fun, engaging and memorable manner. Compatible across Android & iOS, the Disney Fairies Trail mobile application enabled holders to access premium Disney content that was linked to the location of each user within the Royal Botanic Gardens. Disney Fairies were served up to garden attendees via augmented reality content, developed to appear as though they were right there with you in the gardens. The use of AR Disney Fairies helped guide people through the gardens trail and ultimately helped them to learn more about the goals and objectives of conservation. To enhance the overall experience further, the app also received push notifications via beacon technology dependent on the location of the user within the gardens and their proximity to each fairy’s hidden location. The Disney Fairies Trail application was accessible across the Royal Botanic Gardens – Sydney, Melbourne, Mount Annan & Mount Tomah.
