Seven News Listening Posts

CHALLENGE:
To create a fun and engaging platform that provided the general public with an opportunity to voice their opinions around key political topics, in the lead-up and during the 2013 Australian Federal Election.

SOLUTION:
The Creative Shop designed and developed an interactive digital out-of-home campaign that was aimed at helping Greater Sydney voters engage on important policy issues during the 2013 Australian Federal Election. Located across 6 key communities, Miranda, Burwood, Chatswood, Parramatta, EastGarden and Hurstville, 7 News Listening Posts allowed everyday people to have their say on what mattered most to them in the lead-up and during the election. The 7 News Listening Posts were created to provide the general public with a voice across various formats of response, all designed to capture key clusters of information and to poll data. Ranging from interactive, multiple choice survey questions around key political topics, through to leaving a video submission, all responses were recorded, tallied and streamed back to 7 News Head Quarters in Martin Place, where they were previewed before a chosen video confession was played ‘live’ on-air during the 7 News broadcast.
