2015 Constellation Cup Reaction Wall
Netball Australia – 2015 Constellation Cup
To provide an interactive experience that engaged netball fans of all ages, at the Australian Diamonds v New Zealand Silver Ferns games taking place in Perth and Melbourne during the Constellation Cup 2015.
Picking out some of the key attributes for netball players in hand-eye coordination, agility, reaction speed and footwork we challenged fans to test their skills by developing a fun (and addictive!) game. The idea was simple, each player had 30 seconds to hit as many lights as they could, and by hitting a light they scored 1 point. The lights were positioned on a wall in relation to the positions of each player on a netball court, and were also labelled as such to encourage cheering from the watching crowd. The digital leader board next to the wall meant the crowd could also see, in real-time, how the player was doing and where they were positioned out of everyone who had taken part that day. Furthermore, each person received a personalised eDM with an action image of themselves playing, which was instantly shareable across social media channels, therefore amplifying the social buzz around the #ConstellationCup. Overall, the experience was a great success with over 100 people having a go every hour, but there could only be 1 winner…!
